- Dollhouse: Season One
: This is a great show, Joss Whedon does it again. It received mixed view based on the first few episodes which are not the best but that is due to Fox forcing rewrites and re-shoots on Joss' vision. The fans have lovingly come to refer to those episodes as Fox's Dollhouse and the rest of the show as Joss' Dollhouse. After about episode five this show really opens up and develops. This set includes the original pilot episode plus the episode Epitaph One. A must own!

- Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead
: a special episode of David Tennant Doctor Who when the Doctor and his fellow passengers are mysteriously transported through a wormhole to a planet inhabited by an endangered anthropomorphic species. It's on the top of my Netflix que if not an owner unseen.
- Torchwood: Children of Earth
: I love this series, this is a five episode mini-series picking up for season three of Torchwood. It's on the top of my Netflix que if not an owner unseen.
- Knight Rider
: This was a light, fun show with fast changing cars and action. It started with some promise of having substance with gay characters and interesting subplots it just unfortunately suffered from too much studio tampering and test audience death and lost it's substance. Watch it here on Hulu.
- Green Lantern: First Flight
: another DC Comics animated project bringing us the Hal Jordan Green Lantern. It's on the top of my Net Flix que and almost an owner unwatched because of how good the past animated DC projects are.
- Dragonball: Evolution
: a fun Dragonball movie, a lot of reviews trashed this movie but they missed the point and that is Dragonball is a niche film and made for fans of Dragonball. If your not sure about the Dragonball series then it should be a renter, for fans an owner.
- Review: Dragonball: Evolution
- For more info and Trailer read Theater or Renter April 2009
- Battlestar Galactica: Season 4.5
: The conclusion of season four and the Battlestar Galactica show. I really liked how this show grew into it's own and tackled some interesting topics. I wished it had been bolder with some of the social and philosophical topics addressed. My issue with this product is it's an overpriced 1/2 of a season set.

Review: Dragonball: Evolution
Dragon Ball
Are you the type of person who will love this movie? If you like silly fun martial arts movies then you will love this movie. If you liked: Bullet Proof Monk, the Mortal Combat movies, speed racer, or the Shaw Brothers films then you will love this movie. If not then this is not a movie for you.
Dragonball: Evolution captures the spirit and feel of Dragonball so brilliantly that we even had a debate whether it would cause some dissent amongst the Dragon Ball Z fans because of the subtle differences between the series.
If you pass the niche test and are debating whether to watch this movie in the theaters or just to rent it I recommend seeing it in the theater. This is one of those movies that really takes advantage of the theater experience giving more depth to the adventure through the rumble boxes and seeing the fights larger than life.
Although the pace is brilliant and they kept the story fun the story is fluff. This movie lacks any deeper meaning or thought educing moments. This is not a requirement for every movie since some times it’s just good to sit back and be entertained but beyond the light message of “believe in yourself” and some enemies can not be overcome with force.

Likes
- Good Dragonball film
- Shen Long looks awesome
- It has a really good pace
- They did a great job capturing the characters, Yamcha’s voice, their interactions, master Muten Roshi was even the perverted old man.
- The action sequences were fun and funny
- Piccolo was not as much of a power ranger villain as the promotions made him out to be, in context his outfit looked good.
- The capsule car rocked
- magic looked good
- Oozaru looked good
- i like that they didn’t dwell on the grandfather Gohan’s death yet used him as an inspirational force and motivator for Goku
- I like how he overcame the Oozaru
- I liked how they handle the romantic parts of the film with the focus on love and relationship and not sex and pornography
Dislikes / Concerns
- This is not a mass appeal movie
- Shen Long was too small
- the animated hair looked fake
- This movie is just fluff, there is really nothing deeper to it.

Project: Shadow Informant Show Notes Speculative Fiction Movies Dominate top 25
IMDB presented their top 25 searched for films of 2008. They wanted to go for a ranking that was not based on box-office performance or critical assessments. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many speculative fiction movies were on the list.- The Dark Knight (2008)
- Twilight (2008)
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)
- TR2N (2011) Tron 2, I still don’t really care for the name
- The Expendables (2010)
- Iron Man (2008)
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
- No Country for Old Men (2007)
- Juno (2007)
- Transformers (2007)
- The Incredible Hulk (2008)
- There Will Be Blood (2007)
- Sex and the City (2008)
- Into the Wild (2007)
- Superbad (2008)
- Cloverfield (2008)
- Terminator Salvation (2009)
- Wanted (2008)
- Dragonball (2009)
- Quantum of Solace (2008)
- The Departed (2006)
- Star Trek (2009) This is J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek
- The Godfather (1972)
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
- The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
SF moves took up 60% of the chart with only 1/3 of those movies being ones that have not been released yet.
I find these search reports to be fascinating like a snap shot of what is on peoples minds and what they are curious about.
